Fire & Gas Detection

Petitbon Alarm Company offers fire and gas detectors for your home or business.  These devices may be critical when considering the potential danger to your family, pets, home, valuables, office, etc.  It\’s important not to overlook the value in having and maintaining these devices.  A professional can help you determine the number and type of devices needed in your home or business for adequate detection.

What we offer:

  • Smoke Detectors
  • Heat Detectors
  • Carbon Monoxide (CO) Detectors
  • Combustible Gas Detectors
  • Smoke/Carbon Monoxide (CO) Combination Detectors

How they work:

All fire and gas devices we offer are tied into your security system for monitoring.  When they go into alarm, you and the fire department will be notified by our monitoring station.  These devices are working whether your system is armed or disarmed.

Why have monitored fire and/or gas devices?

If a smoke detector goes off when you\’re away, you won\’t know to call the fire department to potentially save your home and your pets or your business.

If a smoke detector goes off when you\’re asleep, and you don\’t hear it, the fire department will still be called. It is not uncommon for adults and children to sleep through the sound of detectors in alarm.

A carbon monoxide (CO) detector will alert you to a CO leak and will send the fire department even if you don\’t hear the sensor going off in the middle of the night.  Remember, CO is a colorless, odorless and tasteless gas.

A combustible gas detector will alert you and the fire department in the event of a gas leak (i.e. natural gas, propane) whether you are away or at home asleep.

Insurance Requirements

Your insurance company may require monitored fire detection.
